Giving gifts to 200 young workers

She shared that the couple are both workers, earning more than 7 million VND/month each, including overtime, while having to raise two young children in school. Rental rent is more than 2 million VND/month, not to mention other living expenses that make life very difficult.
"We have to save a lot of money to make ends meet and take care of our two children's education. Therefore, when the Labor Federation and the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Union coordinated to give gifts to care for young workers, I was very happy, said Ms. Top.
Mr. Nguyen Xuan Hoang Huy - a worker at District 2 Public Service Company - said that his salary is 4.85 million VND, if including all income, he can only earn more than 6 million VND/month.
Although he is not married and has not raised children, he rents a house to live and work, so it is very difficult. Therefore, when he received gifts from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the City Youth Union to coordinate in giving, he was very happy. "Although the value of the gifts is not much, it shows the concern and care of the unions for our workers," said Mr. Huy.
Mr. Nguyen Truong An - a worker at Nhon Hoa Weightlifting Production Company Limited - said that his monthly income is less than 8 million VND, including overtime. So he was very excited to receive a gift worth 1 million VND from the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and City Youth Union.
According to Mr. Pham Chi Tam - Vice President of the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation, during this City Young Workers' Association Day, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation and the City Labor Union presented 200 gifts worth 1 million VND/gift (including 500,000 VND in cash and gifts worth 500,000 VND) to young workers in difficult circumstances.
Raising social awareness in caring for workers
Mr. Lam Ngoc Man - Vice Chairman of the Trade Union of Export Processing and Industrial Zones (ECZs and Industrial Zones) of Ho Chi Minh City - informed that one of the main contents of the "Workers' Month" organized by the Trade Union of Export Processing and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City this year is the program "Millions of gifts - Thank you to workers".
In this program, the Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks of Ho Chi Minh City presented 9,500 gifts (including 2,000 gifts allocated by the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation), each worth 1 million VND to workers in difficult circumstances.
The Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Zones of Ho Chi Minh City also organized the "Love Market - Labor Day 2025" at 5 Export Processing Zones and Industrial Zones (from 15 - 20 booths in each area) to sell goods at preferential prices to union members and workers.
The Trade Union of Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks of Ho Chi Minh City also organizes a cultural and sports festival with Pickleball, badminton, volleyball, and Karaoke competitions at 5 Export Processing Zones and Industrial Parks so that workers and laborers have the opportunity to play and entertain.
Mr. Nguyen Van Hai - Chairman of the Binh Tan District Labor Federation, Ho Chi Minh City - said that up to now, the Binh Tan District Labor Federation has completed a plan to care for union members and workers in the district during this year's "Workers' Month".
Binh Tan District Labor Federation will honor employees with outstanding achievements in the emulation movement "Good workers - Creative workers", vote and propose district and city-level awards for individuals with outstanding achievements, good solutions to participate in the Ton Duc Thang Award program, and at the same time organize at least one district-level skills contest, in coordination with the District Vocational Education - Continuing Education Center to open training classes to improve skills for 500 workers.
