On the afternoon of September 30, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation (HFF) held a meeting of the Executive Committee and Standing Committee of the HFF.
The report at the conference said that in the third quarter of 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation organized activities to care for 18,000 union members and workers with a budget of 18 billion VND; coordinated to organize the program "For workers' health" to visit, screen, provide medicine and give gifts to more than 1,200 female workers at enterprises in the city.
The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation has directed grassroots unions to coordinate with employers to organize 416 "Union Meals" for 225,000 union members and workers with the value of meals for workers ranging from VND 50,000 to VND 300,000, with a total implementation cost of about VND 13 billion (of which the union budget is about VND 7.2 billion).
In the fourth quarter of 2025, the Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation will focus on leading and directing the organization of congresses/conferences of grassroots trade unions, ward, commune and special-zone trade unions towards the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030 and the 14th Congress of the Vietnam Trade Union, term 2026 - 2031.
The Ho Chi Minh City Labor Federation also directed the trade unions of wards, communes and special zones to support grassroots trade unions in implementing grassroots democracy regulations at the workplace, monitoring and grasping the situation of labor relations, salary situation, and Tet bonuses in 2026 at enterprises to have coordinated measures to promptly resolve and stabilize security and order in the area.
At the same time, focus on striving to complete the 2025 targets assigned by the Vietnam General Confederation of Labor, especially the work of developing union members, establishing grassroots unions, and implementing plans to organize activities to care for union members and workers in difficult circumstances on the occasion of the Lunar New Year of Binh Ngo in 2026.
The conference also listened to and gave opinions on the draft plan to organize and allocate delegates to the 1st Ho Chi Minh City Trade Union Congress, term 2025 - 2030, the organization of grassroots trade union conferences, grassroots trade unions...
On this occasion, union officials attending the conference also contributed to support the Cuban people.
