On July 30, the Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor (LDLD) coordinated with Billion Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd. and Bai Kai Industry Vietnam Co., Ltd. (in Phuoc Dong Industrial Park, Gia Loc Ward) to organize the "Union Meal" program for union members and workers.
The program was attended by Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Duong Provincial Federation of Labor Dai Loc, Nguyen Hoai Thanh; leaders of the Provincial Economic Zone Management Board, representatives of enterprises and grassroots trade unions.
The "Union Meal" program at the two companies took place over 2 days, July 30 and 31, serving more than 3,000 meals for employees by shift. Each portion is worth 60,000 VND, jointly implemented by the enterprise and the Trade Union. In addition, the Provincial Federation of Labor presented 50 gifts (each worth 1 million VND) to workers in difficult circumstances.
According to Mr. Phan Van Lo - Chairman of the Trade Union of Billion Industrial Vietnam Co., Ltd., the company spends an average of 25,000 VND per day for a meal, and every year organizes the program "Union Meal", during holidays and Tet, meals are improved with additional food.
Many workers expressed their excitement when participating in the program. Ms. Vang Thi Anh - a worker at the Bai Kai Company's dyeing workshop - said that this was the second time she had participated in the "Union Meal", and was very happy that the meal was prepared more carefully and richly than usual. Ms. Tran Quynh Nhu - a worker who has worked at the company for 5 years - shared: "I feel cared for, today I even invited many colleagues to have lunch together".
According to the Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor, the program was held on the occasion of celebrating major holidays and anniversaries. 6 years of the founding of the Vietnam Trade Union (July 28, 1929 - July 28, 2025), demonstrating the concern of all levels, sectors and enterprises in improving the quality of meals, ensuring the health of workers, and at the same time aiming to build long-term welfare programs for members and employees.
Vice Chairman of the Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor Duong Dai Loc said: "Union meal is not only a higher quality meal, but also a sharing and companionship between the Union organization and the enterprise with the workers".
On this occasion, the Tay Ninh Provincial Federation of Labor organized a "Union Meal" at 6 locations in the area with 8 participating enterprises, and presented 300 gifts to workers in difficult circumstances.
