First of all, people with stomach problems should limit eating bread for breakfast. Bread, especially white bread, contains a lot of refined starch but is low in fiber and nutrients. When eaten on an empty stomach, this starch easily fermented in the stomach, stimulating acid secretion, causing bloating, heartburn or pain in the epigastric region.
People with diabetes or obesity should also avoid eating a lot of white bread for breakfast. This type of cake has a high glycemic index (GI), causing blood sugar levels to increase rapidly after eating, causing fatigue and increasing the risk of insulin resistance. If you want to eat bread, people with diabetes should choose whole wheat bread, rich in fiber to better control blood sugar and feel full longer.
People with constipation or poor digestion should also not eat bread regularly in the early morning. Due to lack of fiber and moisture, dry bread can slow down the intestines, causing indigestion and aggravating constipation.
Children and the elderly should also limit eating only one loaf of bread for breakfast. Although convenient, bread lacks nutritional balance, not providing enough protein, vitamins and minerals. It is best to combine it with eggs, milk, vegetables or fruits to ensure adequate energy and nutrition.
