What is Tadasana pose?
Tadasana, also known as the mountain pose or palm tree pose, is a yoga pose that stretches the entire body with controlled breathing. The name comes from Sanskrit, and refers to standing upright like a tree or a mountain.
In this yoga pose, your spine is perfectly aligned in its natural curves, making them more stable.
How to do Tadasana pose?
First, stand with your feet hip-width apart.
Keep your body weight evenly distributed on both feet.
Take a deep breath in and as you exhale tighten your abdominal muscles.
Roll your shoulders back to open your chest.
Next inhale again to lift your heels off the mat and stand on your toes, paying attention to your balance.
Raise both arms above your head, parallel to each other and close to your ears.
Keep your eyes focused on a single point and hold for 60 seconds.
