Thai players will be given big rewards if they win gold medals at the 33rd SEA Games

The Thai Tennis Association (LTAT) said that the Thai tennis player who won the 33rd SEA Games gold medal will have a salary of 1 million baht (more than 800 million VND).

According to Bangkok Post, a meeting of the LTAT Executive Committee was recently held at the National Tennis Development Center in Muang Thong Thani, Nonthaburi. The meeting was chaired by Chairman of Suchai Pornchaisakudom.

During the meeting, Mr. Suchai focused on preparing for tennis at the 33rd SEA Games, taking place in Thailand from December 9 to 20, 2025.

He called on all departments to ensure the tournament is organized according to the highest standards, and emphasized the importance of preparing Thai athletes ready for this challenge.

All tennis matches will take place at the National Tennis Development Center, with seven gold medals awarded.

In order to encourage the spirit of the national team, Suchai has announced an individual award for the players. "To lift the spirit of our tennis players - who will play at home for the Thai team - I will personally award each SEA Games gold medal with one million baht," he said.

This is considered the highest prize that a Thai sports association has spent to encourage athletes at the 33rd SEA Games. In addition, this bonus is not included in the Thai government's bonus regime.

The Thai men's tennis team participating in the 2025 SEA Games will have 5 players: Maximus Parapol Jones, Kasidit Samrej, Pawit Sornlaksup, wishaya Trongcharoenchaikul and Pruchya Isaro. Meanwhile, the women's team will have athletes including Mananchaya Sawangkaew, Lanlana tararudee, Thasaporn Naklo, Patcharin Cheapchandej and Peangtarn Plipuech. The team will be managed by Vice President of the Association Wichet Teepakorn.

The men's team will be coached by coach Thanakorn Srichaphan, while the women's team will be led by Pacharapol Khamsaman.

With strong support from the domestic community and encouragement from the Chairman of LTAT, Thai tennis players are aiming to bring outstanding performances at the largest sports stage in the region.
