On behalf of the Politburo, Politburo member and Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu has just signed and issued Notice No. 98-TB/TW dated October 31, 2025 of the Politburo's Conclusion on overcoming the consequences of Storm No. 12 and the rain and floods after the storm.
The Conclusion Notice clearly states: At the meeting on October 31, 2025, after listening to the Central Party Office's summary report on the situation and response and overcoming the consequences of Storm No. 12 (Report No. 506-BC/VPTW, dated October 30, 2025), the Politburo concluded as follows:
1. According to reports from provinces and cities in the Central region affected by the recent historic storm, which caused heavy damage to people and property: 10 deaths, 12 missing people, 22 injuries; 51 houses collapsed and were swept away; 122 houses were damaged; 128,024 houses were flooded; 4,376 hectares of rice and crops were damaged; 657 hectares of fruit trees were damaged; 16,342 livestock and poultry died and were swept away; road traffic in localities, railways on the North - South axis were cut off in many places.
2. The Politburo and the Secretariat shared the losses and losses of the Party Committee, government and people of localities affected by Storm No. 12 and floods; at the same time, acknowledged and commended the efforts and tries of Party committees, Party organizations, local authorities and military forces, police, health workers, youth volunteers, rescue workers, the Fatherland Front and organizations, social organizations, businesses and people in preventing, combating and overcoming the consequences of natural disasters caused by storms and floods. Leaders of the Party, State and Government have promptly grasped the situation, directed solutions to respond to natural disasters and regularly been present in localities that suffered heavy damage.
3. Requesting agencies, units, Party committees and local authorities to urgently direct the timely overcoming of the consequences caused by floods, especially the work of supporting people in areas that are still heavily flooded, mountainous areas isolated by landslides; stabilize the situation soon, restore urgent civil works to help people return to normal life; ensure safe temporary accommodation, clean water, food, medicine, special care for the elderly, children, pregnant women and vulnerable groups; ensure hygienic and safe conditions for schools and classrooms so that students can return to school soon to continue studying immediately after the water recedes.
4.
