Reduced 2,098 leadership and management positions
On October 27, the Party Committees of Central Party Agencies held a Conference to summarize Resolution No. 18-NQ/TW dated October 25, 2017 of the 12th Party Central Committee and summarize the organization of the 1st Party Congress of Central Party Agencies for the 2025-2030 term.
Politburo member, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu - Secretary of the Party Committee of the Central Party Agencies - chaired the Conference.
Reporting at the Conference, Mr. Nguyen Long Hai - Alternate Member of the Party Central Committee, Permanent Deputy Secretary of the Party Committees of Central Party Agencies - said that after 8 years of implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW, especially from October 2024 to present, the Party Committee has implemented and achieved many outstanding and comprehensive results.
In particular, regarding the focal points for organizing the apparatus within agencies and units (both public service units and sectoral units of the Supreme People's Procuracy and the Supreme People's Court): Reduced 110 department-level units and equivalents; reduced 440 department-level units; reduced 35 public service units.
Regarding the leadership and management team at all levels: Reduced about 2,098 leadership and management positions from department level to department, department, and general department level. The reduction mainly focuses on the positions of deputy department head and equivalent, head, deputy department head, thereby streamlining the intermediate level, overcoming the situation of many deputy levels.

Concluding the Conference, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu praised the achievements and outstanding results that the Party Committee and its subordinate Party Committees have achieved in implementing Resolution 18-NQ/TW of the 12th Central Executive Committee and Directive No. 45-CT/TW of the Politburo on Party congresses at all levels towards the 14th National Congress of the Party.
To continue promoting the achieved results, Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu suggested that the Party Committee focus on continuing to perform well a number of key task groups.
First of all, continue to promptly and effectively implement the conclusions of the Central Committee, the Politburo, and the Secretariat on the arrangement of the apparatus; review and perfect functions, tasks, and coordination regulations; build a truly streamlined organizational model, truly "clear people, clear work, clear responsibilities, clear results, clear progress, and completion time"; must urgently complete the Job Position Project, continue to perfect the team of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers, ensuring inheritance and development.
We must promote innovation in leadership methods of Party committees at all levels, enhance digital transformation, and apply technology in leadership and management. Direct the drastic implementation of the action program to implement resolutions of Party congresses at all levels, the 1st Party Congress of Central Party Agencies, especially key tasks and breakthroughs.
Standing member of the Secretariat Tran Cam Tu noted that continuing to improve the quality of strategic consultation work - this is a key, continuous task of the Party Committee.
In addition, it is necessary to strengthen Party building and rectification, strictly implement regulations on setting an example, controlling power, preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity; maintain discipline, order, strengthen internal solidarity; promote the pioneering and exemplary role of cadres and party members, especially leaders in all areas of work and life.
Proactively coordinate closely and promptly between Party organizations, agencies, units with state agencies, the Fatherland Front and mass organizations to ensure truly smooth and effective operation.
