The Government and the Prime Minister also focus on implementing inspections and issuing Inspection Conclusions for investment projects to build new facilities of Bach Mai Hospital and Viet Duc Friendship Hospital in accordance with the direction of the Central Steering Committee on preventing and combating corruption, waste and negativity.
In the first quarter of 2025, the entire inspection sector has conducted 1,538 administrative inspections and 4,135 specialized inspections and examinations. Through inspection, economic violations of VND 2,058 billion and hectares of land were discovered; of which VND 1,904 billion and hectares of land were recommended for revocation.
The inspection sector has issued 3,377 decisions to sanction administrative violations of organizations and individuals with an amount of 229 billion VND; recommended reviewing and handling 381 groups and 1,083 individuals; transferring 26 cases and 15 subjects to the investigation agency to continue reviewing and handling.
According to the direction of General Secretary To Lam on resolving cases of prolonged complaints and denunciations, exceeding the central level in Hanoi, the working groups of the Government Inspectorate are focusing on handling, striving to complete the review and settlement of 226 cases; proposing to coordinate to review, handle and resolve 5 cases under their authority.
The agencies have also transferred the working positions of 2,159 cadres, civil servants and public employees to prevent corruption.
Regarding the results of anti-corruption and anti-negativity, the Government Inspectorate also stated that during the period, 125,002 people had declared their assets and income. Of which, 642 people had their declaration of assets and income verified; 2 people were disciplined for dishonest declaration of assets and income.
The inspection sector has discovered 5 cases of leaders who were found to be irresponsible for corruption and negativity, and disciplined 5 people.
In the coming time, the Government Inspectorate said it will continue to verify and declare assets and income according to the plan. Continue to implement the national strategy on preventing and combating corruption and negativity by 2030.
Continue to implement the project to build a national database on asset and income control. Focus on completing the structure, organization, and apparatus according to job positions and functions, tasks, and powers of inspection agencies.
Improve the quality and efficiency of operations, strengthen discipline and order, build a team of inspection civil servants with sufficient qualities, capacity and prestige, equal to the tasks.
