Ha Tinh - On October 31, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh inspected the flood response work in Vung Ang ward, Ha Tinh province.

Accompanying him were Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Duy Lam, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Vo Trong Hai, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Ho Huy Thanh, leaders of departments, branches and sectors.

In Vung Ang ward, after inspecting and listening to reports on proactive response to natural disasters, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh highly appreciated the proactiveness of the Party Committee, government, and armed forces here in responding to floods.

The Deputy Prime Minister requested Party committees, authorities at all levels and armed forces in Ha Tinh province to continue to focus on flood response, proactively implementing the "4 on-site" motto, and aiming to ensure the safety of people's lives above all.

It is necessary to review risk points to have warning plans, proactively evacuate and relocate people from vulnerable areas when there are emergency situations. Grasp the situation of households to promptly support, absolutely do not let people go hungry or lack water for daily use.

Police, military, and border guards maintain forces and equipment and actively coordinate with local authorities to be ready to respond to possible situations, not to be passive or surprised.

At the place where they inspected the flood response work in Vung Ang ward, Deputy Prime Minister Mai Van Chinh and leaders of Ha Tinh province presented gifts to encourage people to overcome difficulties.

According to the leader of Vung Ang ward, heavy rain has caused the locality to have 5 villages that are temporarily flooded and isolated, of which 3 villages of Truong Yen, Truong Phu, Canh Truong were heavily flooded.

To cope with the complicated weather situation, the police, military, and border guards coordinated with local authorities to mobilize forces to support people in raising their belongings, and at the same time evacuated about 400 households with more than 600 people in flooded areas to safety.
