The working content aims to assess the socio-economic development situation, the operation of the two-level urban government model and the orientation of investment in key infrastructure in the area.
Attending the meeting were representatives of the leaders of the Ministry of Public Security, the Ministry of National Defense, the Ministry of Education and Training, the Ministry of Construction, the Ministry of Home Affairs, the Ministry of Finance and representatives of the Government Office.
On behalf of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee, Deputy Secretary of the City Party Committee, Chairman of the Hue City People's Committee Nguyen Van Phuong summarized the socio-economic situation in the first 6 months of the year of the city.
Under the leadership of the Central Government, the determination of the entire political system and the consensus of the people, Hue City has recorded many positive changes, especially for the first time in the top 10 provinces and cities with the highest GRDP growth rate in the country with an increase of 9.39%.
Tourism continues to be a bright spot, with more than 3.4 million visitors in 6 months, an increase of 71%, over the same period. Tourism revenue reached more than VND 6,300 billion, playing an important role in the service economic structure. The processing and manufacturing industry also recorded strong growth, contributing greatly to the city's industrial production index (up 17.5%).
Regarding administrative reform, Hue continues to remain in the top of the country.
In particular, after a period of officially operating the two-level government model, the administrative apparatus of Hue city has operated smoothly, without interruption in handling work, ensuring good service to people and businesses.
The city also recorded outstanding results in administrative reform: The online application submission rate reached 87.56%, ranking 5th in the country.
Concluding the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh highly appreciated the socio-economic development efforts of Hue city in the first 6 months of the year. At the same time, it recognizes the proactive, decisive and responsible spirit of Hue city government in organizing and operating the new model, ensuring stability of the apparatus, staff psychology and quality service to the people.
The Permanent Deputy Prime Minister suggested that Hue continue to thoroughly grasp the spirit of the Central Resolution on private economic development, proactively mobilizing resources in society.
In addition to promoting existing strengths, Hue needs to proactively seek new growth drivers, especially in the fields of science, technology, innovation and digital transformation.
On the same day, Permanent Deputy Prime Minister Nguyen Hoa Binh and the Government working delegation visited and worked at the FPT Education Complex (An Van Duong New Urban Area, Thuy Thanh Ward, Hue City).
