On the morning of September 4, 2025, at the Party Central Committee Headquarters, the Politburo chaired by General Secretary To Lam worked with the Standing Committee of the Fatherland Front Party Committee (FFC) and central organizations to give opinions on the draft documents and personnel plans to be submitted to the 1st Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and central organizations for the 2025 - 2030 term.
At the meeting, the Politburo listened to representatives of the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations report on the drafting of documents and personnel plans for the 2025 - 2030 term, report on receiving and explaining comments from central departments, ministries and branches.
In general, the draft documents and personnel plans were carefully prepared, seriously, scientifically, in accordance with the regulations and instructions of the Central Committee; the content of the document thoroughly grasped the major thoughts and viewpoints in the draft documents of the 14th National Party Congress and closely related to the practical situation of the Party Committee.
The Politburo members generally agreed with the draft documents submitted to the Congress of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee and Central organizations, giving very enthusiastic, responsible and profound comments to supplement and clarify outstanding results, limitations, and at the same time orientation on direction of operation, contributing to improving the quality of activities and operating mechanisms in the new apparatus organization and setting strategic requirements for the Party Committee, the Vietnam Fatherland Front and Central organizations in the new period, in the Party leadership - State management - People's mastery mechanism.
Concluding the working session, General Secretary To Lam requested the Standing Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front Party Committee and Central organizations to accept the opinions of Politburo members, reasonable comments from central departments, ministries and branches to complete documents and personnel plans, continue to prepare carefully to successfully organize the Party Congress for the 2025 - 2030 term.
General Secretary To Lam emphasized that in the coming term, it is necessary to focus on organizing and implementing a number of contents well:
(1) Continue to comprehensively innovate the content and methods of leadership of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and mass organizations in a practical and effective manner, strongly oriented towards the grassroots, close to the people, understanding the people, serving the people; continue to affirm and promote the core role, center of solidarity, gathering, building the great national unity bloc, creating social consensus, arousing, gathering, promoting all resources, motivation, creativity and patriotism of the people, spreading the strength of the people, good values in society to develop the country.
(2) Continue to supplement and perfect mechanisms to ensure the operation of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations and mass organizations according to the new model of synchronization, smoothness and efficiency from the Central to the grassroots level to ensure the requirement that "the new model must be better than the old model". Build a team of Vietnam Fatherland Front cadres and socio-political organizations, and mass associations with courage, intelligence, moral qualities, and mass mobilization skills, meeting the requirements of international integration.
(3) Proactively participate in building and rectifying the Party, while building and consolidating the grassroots Party organization in strong organizations and unions; improve the effectiveness of supervision and social criticism, ensure the role of representing and protecting the legitimate and legal rights and interests of all classes of people; promote administrative reform, build an honest government, create development, and serve the People.
(4) Promote the application of information technology, digital transformation in management, operation, connection, and wide and effective interaction with union members, association members, and people; connect the Vietnam Fatherland Front, organizations with the community, promote democracy at the grassroots level. Innovating communication methods, improving the effectiveness of public opinion orientation, protecting the Party's ideological foundation, maintaining the ideological position in society, proactively preventing and combating erroneous and hostile viewpoints.
(5) Proactively participate in solving major problems of society; strongly arouse the movement of innovation and creativity among the people, promote the application of science, technology, digital transformation, green transformation, development of the knowledge economy, digital economy, private economy... Improve the quality of participation in building and perfecting institutions, proactively propose and recommend policies, laws close to reality, linking "Party spirit" with "people's heart".
(6) Actively expand international cooperation, people's foreign affairs, proactively connect and cooperate with international organizations, non-governmental organizations, and overseas Vietnamese communities to mobilize resources, promote the country's role and position in the international arena, spread the image and good values of the country and people of Vietnam to the world, contributing to promoting peace, friendship, cooperation and sustainable development.
