On July 30, the State Bank of Vietnam coordinated with the People's Committee of Cao Bang province to organize a program to donate funds to support the demolition of temporary and dilapidated houses in the area.
Attending the program were Vice Chairman of Cao Bang Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach; Permanent Deputy Governor of the State Bank of Vietnam Dao Minh Tu and representatives of leaders of a number of departments, branches and banks in the locality.
Speaking at the program, Mr. Dao Minh Tu emphasized that the banking industry always accompanies the whole country in social security activities, especially supporting the elimination of temporary houses for the poor.
On this occasion, the State Bank of Vietnam presented Cao Bang province with 2 billion VND, taken from the one-day salary contribution of all cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers in the industry, to support additional resources for the program to eliminate temporary and dilapidated houses in the locality.
On behalf of the province, Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Hoang Van Thach expressed his gratitude to the State Bank and the entire sector. He said that the province always focuses on eliminating temporary houses, especially in remote, isolated, border and ethnic minority areas.
In 2025, Cao Bang aims to complete support for 6,702 households with solid houses. As of July 25, the whole province has completed 6,684 units, reaching 99.73% of the plan.
The timely support of the banking sector contributes significantly to helping the province complete the target before the deadline of August 31 as directed by the Prime Minister. The locality is committed to allocating and using the funding source for the right purposes and to the right beneficiaries.
