Article 37. Incentives for experts and scientists who are Vietnamese and reside abroad, experts and scientists from abroad
1. Experts and scientists who are Vietnamese and reside abroad, foreign experts and scientists are entitled to policies according to the provisions of the Government's Decree regulating mechanisms and policies to attract experts in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation and related legal documents.
2. Experts and scientists who are Vietnamese and reside abroad, foreign experts and scientists participating in scientific, technological and innovation activities in Vietnam are hired to take on leadership and management positions at public science and technology organizations; assigned to preside over the implementation of scientific, technological and innovation tasks using the state budget.
3. The process of hiring to take on leadership and management positions at public science and technology organizations for Vietnamese experts and scientists residing abroad, experts and scientists from abroad participating in scientific and technological activities in Vietnam is implemented according to the process of recruiting experts in the Government's Decree regulating mechanisms and policies to attract experts in science, technology, innovation and digital transformation and related legal documents.
The funding of outstanding scientists with outstanding achievements in scientific research and technology development is based on Article 36.
Article 36. Funding outstanding scientists with outstanding achievements in scientific research and technology development
Outstanding scientists with outstanding achievements in scientific research and technology development are considered for funding to proactively implement breakthrough scientific research and technology development ideas, high potential for application, contributing to socio-economic development, ensuring national defense and security according to the provisions of the Government's Decree detailing and guiding a number of articles of the Law on Science, Technology and Innovation on scientific research, technology and innovation programs and tasks and a number of regulations on promoting scientific research, technology development and innovation activities.
