Education and training of Vietnamese citizens to become global citizens
Resolution 71 of the Politburo on breakthroughs in education and training development emphasizes a new viewpoint: Education ensures harmony between the people and the elite, comprehensiveness and expertise, nation and society. Develop education on the basis of culture, traditional national values, while absorbing the quintessence of humanity, international standards; educate and train Vietnamese citizens to become global citizens".

Global citizens are understood as being good at foreign languages, knowledgeable about technology, have a critical and creative mindset, preserve national cultural identity, have the desire to rise up and be responsible for the community. To achieve that, Vietnamese education needs to change strongly: shifting from "learning for competition" to "learning for living, working, contributing", while equipping digital skills, life skills, cooperation and international integration.
The education system, especially universities, needs to expand international cooperation, creating opportunities for exchange and experiencing diverse environments for students. More importantly, integration must be associated with national pride, respect for Vietnamese language, history, and culture, so that when coming out into the world, Vietnamese people can confidently integrate and maintain their identity, contributing to building a better world. An Giang Border Guard cleans, arranges tables and chairs to support schools in preparing for the new school year
With only a few days left for students nationwide to enter the Opening Ceremony of the 2025 - 2026 school year, thousands of officers and soldiers of the An Giang Border Guard have mobilized to clean up, arrange tables and chairs, and renovate schools at schools in their charge. At the An Thoi Port Border Guard Station, the unit also mobilized funds to buy notebooks and books for students, sent 20 soldiers to directly collect garbage, clean up and arrange classrooms to prepare carefully for the opening day.

In Tho Chau special zone - a place far from the mainland, most people make a living by fishing, so they have little time to care about their children's education, the Border Guard has coordinated with the locality and schools to go to each household to mobilize, give books, and encourage students to go to school on time. This action contributes to reducing the situation of dropping out of school and creating conditions for students in the island to attend classes fully.
In addition, Border Guard units on the border and island routes of An Giang province have also simultaneously deployed activities to support schools, from cleaning the campus, arranging classes to checking households with school-age children to support, give gifts and encourage them to go to school. According to the provincial Department of Education and Training, in the new school year, An Giang has about 1,325 school units with a plan to mobilize 759,000 students. See more...

In the period of 2025 - 2026, Da Nang city will invest about 740 billion VND to build a modern system of ethnic boarding and semi-boarding schools in 6 border communes. On August 19, the large-scale Tay Giang boarding school project started construction, aiming to overcome the shortage of facilities, ensure safe learning and accommodation for students and teachers in mountainous areas, especially during the rainy and flood season.
