The special book "The Fire We Fight Is Great" was launched on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the Traditional Day of the Air Defense Rocket Corps (July 24, 1945 - July 24, 2025) by the Foreign Defense Rocket Corps Combat Area Communication Committee.
This is a special collection of articles with rich historical, cultural and national spiritual values, compiled to express gratitude to the generation of missile soldiers who heroically defended the Fatherland, while contributing to spreading the traditional flame to today's and future generations.
With more than 400 pages of printed, nearly 70 articles and books collect live narration of generals, officers and soldiers who participated in major campaigns from North to South.
The title of the book "Our Fire is fighting very well" evokes the deep pride in the glorious feats of the Vietnam Air Defense Rocket Corps during the years of the resistance war against the US to save the country.
That rustic saying resounds throughout the country, expressing the people's admiration and trust in the air defense force - the force that has worked with the entire army and people to preserve and protect the sacred sky of the Fatherland.
With the spirit of "Daring to fight, knowing how to fight and determined to fight to win", along with the action slogan "Please the way, find the enemy and fight", the Vietnam Air Defense Rocket Corps has become one of the elite armed forces of the Vietnam People's Army.
During 60 years of building, fighting and growing, this force has overcome countless challenges, mobilized combat in many rugged terrains, closely collaborated with the 3rd Air Defense, and formed strong fire clusters across the battlefields.
Our fire is fighting very well is the result of the contributions of hundreds of anti-aircraft missile veterans across the country. With many articles, short stories... and realistic and touching content, the framework of the book is limited, it is impossible to put all the articles in one volume.
However, each page of the book carries the weight of time, the vitality of battlefield memories, and the indomitable spirit of the Air Defense Rocket soldiers.
