Many labor recruitment groups increase
In 2025, there will be 34 enterprises in Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks that need to recruit over 19,000 jobs, with salaries from 6 million to 22 million VND/month and higher agreements for some specific positions. Of which, about 3,700 jobs are in the fields of management, team leader, office, business, Chinese/English/Korean interpretation... and over 12,600 unskilled workers in the fields of: Steel rolling, garment, leather shoes, furniture, construction.
Many companies recruited in large quantities such as: Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company; Mensa Industries Co., Ltd.; Hoya Lens Vietnam Co., Ltd., Quang Ngai branch; KingMaker III footwear Co., Ltd.; Millennium Furniture Co., Ltd. According to Hoa Phat Group, the Hoa Phat Dung Quat 2 project will be put into operation in 2025. Therefore, the company needs to recruit 3,000 workers.
Mr. Luu Thanh Tung - Head of Human Resources Department of Hoa Phat Dung Quat Steel Joint Stock Company - said that for unskilled workers, the company will provide elementary training. In 2025, the company will increase income for employees, with an average income of 13 million VND/year. The company also provides support such as housing, shuttle buses for employees, 13th salary month and Tet bonuses.
In 2025, many enterprises in Quang Ngai plan to expand production because they have signed many more orders with partners, so the demand for labor recruitment has also increased.
Mr. Dam Minh Le - Deputy Head of the Management Board of Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Parks - shared that compared to previous years, in 2025, businesses used labor relatively stably, especially foreign investors with many orders, so VSIP Industrial Park had a need to recruit over 10,000 workers.
Actively connecting labor supply and demand
Currently, VSIP Industrial Park has 40 enterprises, of which nearly 30 have entered production. The recruitment demand in VSIP Industrial Park is very large, including many occupations, suitable for workers of different levels.
In Quang Ngai, the province's labor market in 2024 has many bright spots, witnessing a rapid and strong recovery, bringing positive results, helping industrial parks and economic zones basically maintain a stable labor force. The unemployment rate in urban areas decreased to 1.5%/year; the rate of trained workers reached 64.4%, of which the rate of trained workers with certificates reached 27%.
To achieve this result, agencies, departments and local authorities at all levels have made efforts to effectively implement the Government's Resolution on developing the labor market and programs and projects on labor and employment.
Job fairs are organized periodically, creating favorable conditions for businesses, vocational training institutions and workers to meet directly to exchange information, interview and recruit. This contributes positively to connecting labor supply and demand, stabilizing and developing the labor market in the province.
Speaking to reporters, Mr. Pham Thai Duong - Chairman of the Dung Quat Economic Zone and Quang Ngai Industrial Zones Trade Union - emphasized that with the current labor recruitment needs of businesses, it will contribute to solving employment for many workers in the province and is a resource for propaganda, mobilization, and development of union members in the non-state sector.
