On the afternoon of November 20, Nghe An Eye Hospital held a ceremony to celebrate Vietnamese Teachers' Day on November 20, honoring the new Associate Professor and awarding the Third Class Labor Medal to Dr. Tran Tat Thang - Director of the hospital.
At the ceremony, Mr. Vo Trong Hai - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Dr. Dr. Le Thi Hoai Chung - Director of the Department of Health; and representatives of the Provincial People's Committee Office, Vinh Phu Ward and medical units in the area attended and congratulated.
Speaking at the ceremony, Dr. Dr. Le Thi Hoai Chung emphasized that the title of Associate Professor of Dr. Tran Tat Thang is a worthy recognition for her research, training and contributions in the field of ophthalmology. This is not only a personal honor but also reflects the long-term investment policy in high-quality human resources of the provincial health sector.
According to the Director of Nghe An Department of Health, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Tat Thang has made important contributions to the training of ophthalmologists, implemented many specialized and modern techniques, contributing to the strong development of Nghe An ophthalmology in recent years. The award of the Third Class Labor Medal shows the respect of the Party and State for his contributions.
Expressing his gratitude and emotion at the ceremony, Associate Professor, Dr. Tran Tat Thang said that he will continue to make efforts in training, scientific research and applying new techniques to treatment. The Director of Nghe An Eye Hospital affirmed that the unit will continue to expand professional cooperation and transfer techniques to lower-level facilities to help people access modern ophthalmic services right in the home province.
According to the Nghe An Department of Health, as of November 2025, the whole industry has 6 Associate professors, in 2025 alone, 2 people will qualify.
