Inspecting the flood recovery work in Lang Chanh district, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha visited the landslide site at Lam Phu Secondary School. Here, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha requested the Party Committees and authorities of Thanh Hoa province to continue to closely monitor the landslide in the area of Lam Phu Secondary School and promptly report when dangerous situations occur.
Urgently develop, approve and implement in practice the key plan to prevent and combat landslides in the area of Lam Phu Secondary School, Lang Chanh District, ensuring the safety of people and property according to the "4 on-site" motto, especially proactively evacuating/relocating people and property at risk of being affected when heavy rains and dangerous situations occur. The Government will prioritize capital sources together with Thanh Hoa province's counterpart funds to soon invest in the construction of Lam Phu Secondary School so that teachers and students of the school have a solid place to teach and study.
Visiting and inspecting the results of the handling of the incident at No Thon dyke left of Ma river (Vinh An commune, Vinh Loc district), Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha noted that although the dyke is still safe, Thanh Hoa province needs to learn lessons and be more proactive in preventing natural disasters in the future. Issues related to dyke protection beyond the province's capacity should be reported to the Central Government for handling and remedial measures.
Urgently deploy in practice the key protection plan for flood and storm prevention and control of the works that have been built and approved, ensuring absolute safety for the left dike of the Ma River. In particular, be ready to organize the evacuation and relocation of affected households, agencies and offices when a situation occurs.
Visiting and presenting gifts to households in Ngoc Bo village (Kim Tan town, Thach Thanh district) affected by natural disasters, Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha hopes that people will quickly overcome difficulties, strictly follow the instructions and guidance of local Party committees and authorities, and soon stabilize their lives and production. Along with that, Deputy Prime Minister requested relevant ministries and branches of the Central Government and Thanh Hoa province to study flood-proof housing models to help people overcome the flood season.
Deputy Prime Minister Tran Hong Ha highly appreciated the proactive spirit in preventing and fighting natural disasters and overcoming the consequences of floods after storms of the Party Committee and the government of Thanh Hoa province. At the same time, he directed the authorities of Thanh Hoa province at all levels to actively support people to overcome the consequences of floods, such as drinking water, environmental sanitation, epidemics... to restore production.
